These are the things I remember from years ago.Hubie's on Sunrise Hwy,Bar Harbor pizza(the best on the planet),Tackapausha museum on Sunrise, don't know the year but the football field was once woods,The woods and stream where the Seaford Oyster-Bay is now, coal towers at train station,Powell's hotel-corner of Jackson and Merrick Rds,Sportsman hotel corner of Seamans Neck and Merrick Rds behind the Seaford Tavern(also great pizza),the Little League parade down Washington Ave. ending with a BBQ at the firehouse, basketball courts and baseball field where the Junior High now stands, green houses behind where 7-11 is,how about snapper fishing and crabbing at Capt. Eddies when the water was not polluted,All-American's in Mass.,Sandy's in Want.,Washington Ave candy store and the original Tony's barber shop,Hill's grocery store,Whitey's deli,Gorken's pharmecy where Wayne Merrick's is off Sunrise Hwy and finally how about when playing sports in Seaford meant more than anything in the world something that has lost its' values to video games and computers. What happen to us we let the world we disagreed with consume us.

Doug,I remember Tacapausha from the 50's.Remember the museum.Don't recall a football field.Don't remember coal towers at Seaford Sta.Remember a lot of what you posted.Seaford Tavern pizza was good but thingy and Dora's in Mass. was better.Used to go there by boat.I remember Maltese pharmacy.Lon Wanser's bait & tackle.Seaford Oyster Bay Xway took a lot of property in the Harbor but never put it through. Then they put a gun range where the sewer plant is for a short time and then snuck that sewer plant in on us.Gerst Bakery on Merrick Rd. across from the police station.I see pictures of Seaford when friends send them to me.Never went to the High School od Seamen's Neck Rd.Went to Seaford Ave. for two years of high and then left school.Pulled out of Seaford two days after Christmas of 1972.Went back oncs for a visit in 76.Never been back since. My dad owned Hunt's bar and boat yard/marina on the corner of Ocean Ave. ans Naomi st.It was called Jabby's for a while then Stillwater's Restaurant.I still miss Seaford in the summer. The boating and fishing, but Florida's climate is better.Ft. Lauderdale has been my home since 1972.

The occurrence of pain rises as people get older, and women are more likely to experience pain than men. A pain management specialist is a doctor who evaluates your pain and treats a wide range of pain problems. A pain management doctor treats sudden pain problems such as headaches and many types of long-lasting, chronic, pain such as low back pain. Patients are seen in a pain clinic and can go home the same day. Pain management doctors offer a mix of medication-based treatments and procedures, that can stop the pain at its source. Types of pain treated by a pain management doctor The types of pain treated by a pain management doctor fall into three main groups. The first is pain due to direct tissue injury, such as arthritis. The second type of pain is due to nerve injury or a nervous system disease, such as a stroke. The third type of pain is a mix of tissue and nerve injury, such as back pain. However, pain fall into two major categories namely: acute and chronic pain. Acute pain is a normal response to tissue injury, which starts suddenly and is usually short-lived. Chronic (ongoing) pain persists beyond the normal time of healing and generally lasts for longer than three months. Pain may be anything from a dull ache to a sharp stab, and can range from mild to extreme. Pain may be located in one part of the body or it may be widespread. Studies suggest that a person’s outlook and the way they cope emotionally with long-term (chronic) pain can influence their quality of life. Counselling can help support you to manage the emotional and psychological effects of chronic pain. Understanding the causes of your pain can help reduce your fear and anxiety. The pain management clinic Pain patients are seen in an outpatient pain clinic that has procedure rooms, with ultrasound and X-ray imaging. Sometimes, the pain doctor performs the procedures in a nearby hospital. Some pain doctors may offer you sedation during the treatments. However, this is not needed in many cases. Key pain management strategies include: • pain-relieving medications • physical or occupational therapy • complementary therapies (such as acupuncture and massage) • counselling.
